Fashion / Working it out

A while ago I showed you two sports bras I bought at H&M. Well I like them so much, I want them in blue and black as well (can you blame me). I really need some new shorts for playing football / soccer. I like that these are black, but with a little bit of pink =) And last but not least, for the colder months that are coming I want some long work out leggings. Also because I've been thinking about starting running, so I could use these for that

Travel tricks / Making lists

I love to travel and I'm a huge planner, so I thought it was only fair to share some of my tricks for all things travelling. This time: Making lists

In my last post I made a list of all the lists I usually make when I go on vacation. In this blogpost I going to let you know how I make those lists. There is just one thing you need to do when you want to make those lists and that is research. Lots of it.
To see what's in stores and to get inspired I watch al lot of hauls on YouTube. When I see things I like, I write them down.
I like to watch a lot of travel vlogs. This is a great way to get to know the a certain place. This way you can get ideas on where to go and where to eat. It's a totally different way to prepare yourself for a trip.
Next to watching videos on YouTube, I like to read blogposts about travelling. Reading peoples stories and watching their photographs, I love it.
I love photography, so I'm always watching a lot of photographs for inspiration. Places to visit, streets to go to.
And last but not least people. And their stories

I can't imagine planning a trip without the internet. Can you?

Photography / A walk in a park

Always take your camera with you when you take a walk in a park. You never know what you'll see. Just some random shots I took. Not your typically pretty nature photographs. I like them.

Beauty / Favourite fall & winter lipsticks

I love to wear a more darker lipstick when the weather gets a little colder. Tell Me A Berry-Tale from Catrice and Starry-Eyed from Rimmel are perfect examples. Charme from Chanel isn't as dark as the others, but it's a great colour for fall. For an extreme bright colour in fall and winter time I like to wear YSL glossy stain in number 25. This gives any warm and cosy outfit a pop of colour.

Travel / Here we come!

OMG I can't believe I'm going to the USA next week! Blogposts are scheduled as normally, so you won't even notice I'm gone. When I get back there will be lots of photographs, probably a haul and maybe a video. Any last minute tips? =)

Travel tricks / The lists

I love to travel and I'm a huge planner, so I thought it was only fair to share some of my tricks for all things travelling. This time: The lists.

If you've been following my blog for a little while, you may have noticed that I'm a huge lists maker. So obviously when I go on vacation, I make tons of lists. Here is a list of all those lists =)

A list where I write down all the things I need to do before I leave.
A list where I write down all the things I need to pack.
A list of all the touristy things I want to see / do.
A list of all the shops I want to visit.
A list of all the places where I want to eat.
A list of all the things I want to buy.
A list of all the things I want to photograph.

Sometimes I wonder if this is getting out of hand.. and then I make a list of reasons why this isn't getting out of hand.

Photography / City of Amsterdam

I went to Amsterdam with a friend not to go shopping but to take photographs. We had been planning this for so long, so I'm glad we finally went. It's really nice to just walk around in a city, looking for interesting things (which you can find practically anywhere) to photograph. And for some reason I liked everything better in black and white.

Fashion / Fall must haves

Topshop cardigan | American Apparel beanie | Urban Outfitters tank top | Urban Outfitters platforms Forever21 ring | Forever21 boots

I know it hasn't been too long ago that I was begging for summer, but I have to admit that I'm kind of excited for fall already. That's why I love that the seasons are constantly changing. So what I'm loving for fall this year: Definitely the chunky cardigans (which I always love), beanies in all kinds of colours (but especially neon), awesome tank tops for layering, lots and lots of jewellery (silver and gold) and last but not least platforms and boots (the crazy ones).

I can't wait for fall! What about you?

Fashion / USA Shopping

I feel like I've been talking non stop about my trip to the USA, but can you blame me? I'm so excited and I can't wait to actually go! But let's get to the point. I love to shop, so obviously I will be doing some shopping while I'm in the USA. The shops names above, are the ones I definitely want to visit.
Any more recommendations?

Travel tricks / Top 10 must haves on long flights

I love to travel and I'm a huge planner, so I thought it was only fair to share some of my tricks for all things travelling. This time: Top 10 must haves on long flights.

I'm always bringing an extra pair of socks. Usually big, fluffy socks that are really comfortable. So as soon as the plane is in the air, I take my shoes of and put on my extra pair of socks.
Even though it can be very hot where you're leaving from, inside the airplane it gets really cold during the flight, so I always bring a cardigan and/or a scarf to keep me warm. A big scarf is also really great to use as kind of a blanket while you sleep.
I take my music everywhere, so also during a long flight. I really like to take my big headphones that cancel out the noise more than the small ones.
I love books! In my opinion there isn't a better way to pass time, than by reading a book. Before you know it, you've arrived at your destination.
A lot of people get a really skin during the flight, that doesn't happen to me. I do get dry lips, so I always like to take a lipbalm with me.
For a little freshening up I like to take deodorant, some antibacterial gel and some other bits and bops.
I like to bring a little notebook and a pen for writing down ideas, playing games and doodling.
Last bot not least I take my iPhone with me. During the flight I almost only use it for playing games. My favourite game at the moment is Candy Crush! =)

Food & drinks / Home made cookies

I've wanted to bake some cookies for a while now, so last week I just got all the things I needed and baked myself some cookies. Off course I didn't eat them all by myself ;-) I took the easy way and just bought a cookie mix. To make it a tiny bit more special, I added a little bit of white chocolate to 1/3 of the dough, a little bit of milk chocolate to the other 1/3 of the dough and the last 1/3 of dough I just left it as it was. Turned out that the white chocolate turns brown in the oven. Am I the only one that didn't know that? But they tasted good anyway =)

Beauty / Flake away

I heard a lot of good things about the Soap & Glory Flake Away scrub, so when I went to London in July last year I decided to try it for myself. I wasn't too excited about the smells (which everyone else seems to love), but the fact that this product works as good as is does makes me forget all about that smell. It is not really a gentle scrub, which I had to get used to, but it leaves your skin extremely (!) soft. I use this once or twice a week.

It is a big pot, but after a while it was empty. Sadly Soap & glory isn't sold in The Netherlands. So when a friend went to London and asked me if she had to bring me something from there, the Flake away scrub was the thing I asked for. And here it is =)

Travel tricks / Where to start

I love to travel and I'm a huge planner, so I thought it was only fair to share some of my tricks for all things travelling. This time: Where to start?

A walk around the neighbourhood
There is one thing I always do when I'm planning a vacation and that is using Google maps to walk around in the city I'm planning to go to. That way you can find out where the main street is, where all the shops are, where all the hidden boutiques are and at what restaurants you would like to eat. This way you already explored the neighbourhood, which really helps when you're searching for the perfect hotel for example.
Just casually looking around for hotels and airplanetickets
After my walk around the neighbourhood, I always go looking for hotels and flights (which I usually book together, unless it's cheaper to book separately). When I'm browsing different websites, I look for some specific things: When do I want to go and what is the price of the hotel at that moment? What is the location of the hotel? How many stars does the hotel have? Does the place look ok at first sight?
Deciding on your budget
Now you've walked around the neighbourhood, you've seen some hotels, flights and prices, it's time to decide on your budget. You can go all out (5 star hotel and first class flight) or you can go really cheap (hostel and low priced flight). You can go during the summer or during the holiday season (when the prices are usually high) or you can go off season (when the prices are probably lower). It's all up to you, but it's important that you decide how much money you want to spend.
Seriously looking for hotels and flights
Now that you decided on your budget, you can go look at hotels and flights more seriously. When a hotel fits your budget, just write down the name and the price. When you have a list of ten or so hotels, go look for reviews on www.tripadvisor.com (my favourite!). Find out what people think of the hotels you wrote down. Don't forget to look at the photos, which are more real than the ones on the website of the hotel.
As for the flights. Just choose the times you like best. Don't forget that you need time to get to airport in morning and that you may not want to spend your whole last day waiting for you flight home.
Time to book your hotel and flight
When you've seen all the prices, read all the reviews it's time to make a decision!

Photography / A tripod

A tripod has been on my wishlist for a while, but I never bought one. So when I was in the Mediamarkt a few days ago I finally decided to buy one. It comes in two parts. The little tripod itself, which you can change in height and the telescopic tube, which you can change in length. You can also combine the two to make a taller tripod.
It's really light, small and easy to take with you. I can't for my next vacation, because this tripod is definitely coming along.

Fashion / Primark haul

I wanted some new pyjama pants, so off course I went to Primark. The first two are shorts and came with the tank tops shown on the next photo (€7,- each). The one on the bottom is a long pj bottom (€8,-).

I was looking for a light summer dress and this one was really pretty. I really like the colour, the print and the material is really thin, so great for hot summer days (€11,-).

I'm always on the hunt for cute socks and how amazing are the pink leopard ones. They're so wrong, but so cute at the same time. So I got a 3-pack (€2,50) and a 5-pack (€3,50).

Last but not least I decided to get some cotton pads (€1,-) and a hair-donut (€1,50).

I love shopping at Primark! What are your recent buys from Primark?
