Life / Dreams

I think that being happy is the most important dream that I have, because I believe that if you're happy everything else you want to accomplish will come from there. Being happy and positive will get you further than being moody and negative. Lately I've been really into reading books about positive thinking and the like.

I really want to continue blogging. It feels like I've been blogging for what seems like forever. I always removed my blogs from the internet when I didn't feel like updating them anymore. I've been blogging on Just Aimee for a little more than a year now and I'm still not getting tired of it. It feels like home and I enjoy posting all the pictures I take and I even feel like writing more and more.

One of my biggest loves is travelling. Packing my bags for a citytrip of a few days or for a long vacation of a few weeks, I love it all. Discovering new places, different food, meeting new people, experiencing all seasons. But also the feeling you get when you're back home, the appreciation for your own bed, shower and toilet =)

I have so much more to learn, but I enjoy photography so so much. I could spend hours watching other peoples photographs. I'm just in awe of how many talented people are out there and I could only hope to achieve just a small fraction of that same talent. I hope that maybe someday I will inspire people to follow their photography dreams.

Writing is one of the things I really like, but don't do as much as I do the other things I love. So I'm really grateful for the blogging community for inspiring me to write more. I'm looking forward to putting more words on 'paper'.

Food & Drinks / Birthday food

It was my birthday a few weeks back and I decided to make cupcakes again. Only this time I made mini cupcakes instead of the big ones. Oh and the last two pictures show marshmallows dipped in white chocolate! There was more food, but these were only pictures I took. Reminder to self: Take even more pictures!

Fashion / Black & Silver

Primark Blouse, Forever21 necklace, Topshop leggings & Primark boots
Because of my grandma's birthday we went out for dinner. I wanted something comfortable (hence the leggings) but also something kind of chic (hence the blouse and the whole black outfit). I put on some silver jewellery, a messy ponytail and I was ready to go.

Photography / Spring colours

My favourite thing to do on Sunday is definitely going outside for a walk. Especially now that Spring is here. What's your favourite thing to do on Sunday?

Food & Drinks / Home made sandwiches

I love eating out, but is there something better than home made sandwiches? I don't think so =) We needed some goat cheese for another dish, but we had lots left so we decided to use it for our sandwiches.

Honey mustard dressing | Salami | Goat cheese | Tomato | Onions | Herbs of choice

The sandwich on the right is the same as the one above. The one on the left has hot cheese spread and cucumber (!) on it. This combo is delicious as well.

Running Diaries / (never) Not running

I had been running for seven weeks straight when it happened. I've been doing the Start to Run programme. On Friday I finished week seven and everything was fine. The day after (on Saturday) I had a soccer match. I felt something on the bottom of my foot that didn't feel right, but I was like oh well. The next day I went for my usual Sunday morning run, you all know how much I love to run on Sunday morning. After ten minutes I felt it again. I finished my round and wasn't to bothered by it.

That was until I woke up the next morning. I got out of bed and immediately felt the same thing on the bottom of my foot again. I didn't go to soccer practice that evening, but after a few days it felt better. So I went to soccer practice, I went out running again and I played the soccer match as well. After the game it really didn't feel good. I decided that, apparently, it needed more time to heal. For two whole weeks I didn't play soccer and didn't go running. It felt like forever, but after those two weeks everything felt normal again. I went to soccer practice twice and played the soccer match. Everything feels fine again.

Now the big question is, what was the cause of all this? Have I've been doing to much (soccer three times a week and running three times a week), is it because of my running shoes (even though I went to Runnersworld to get them) or is it the fact that I run on a hard road (which I'm not used to with always playing soccer on grass)? I'm going to start running again this Sunday, so we'll see how it goes.

Fashion / High heeled

All shoes and pictures are from ZARA

About a week ago my friends and I had a girls night in. We made dinner, we talked (a lot!) and we watched a movie. Sex and the City 2 of course. After watching Sex and the City (the movie or the tv series), I always have the urge to wear high heels. Just like Carrie, I'm not really tall and I can use all the extra hight I can get. While I love wearing heels from time to time, I can't believe that some people wear heels every day. It's so exhausting. Not to mention not really practical. I mean running to catch your train in high heels or on Converse. Which would you choose? Wearing high heels while you're doing your grocery shopping, not my cup of tea either. And it is not as if I have tons of parties to go to where I can wear all my high heels. Maybe I should make it a thing to wear heels ones a week, just because. I love the feeling I get when wearing heels and by that I don't mean pain ;-) I mean feminine, strong, tall (!) and awesome.
Do you wear heals often?

Photography / Popcorn at the Library

My little brothers and I went to the library in the city and I took some quick snap shots outside. The library is surrounded by beautiful old buildings. They went home with more books than that they could carry and off course some popcorn (which this library apparently has). While waiting for them to find the books they wanted, I wondered to the library and remembered how often I always came to the library. Nowadays I wander book stores because I want to own all the books I read (I know weird, or not?), but maybe I should think about going to the library more often.
Do you go to the library often?

Life / Colouring For All Ages

One of my friends had a colouring book for adults, which had all these intriguing patterns. My first reactions was: That's so cool! So not long after I had my own colouring book. I don't use it everyday, but once in a while I'm colouring =) It's very relaxing and a great way to get your mind of things.
